This versatile actress has appeared in a wide range of MediaCorp dramas and sitcoms, including Oh Carol, Restless, Triple Nine, Growing Up, Shiver, and Happy Belly. She has also presented the Children’s Chat part for Sunday Morning Singapore.

Descendants of the Eunuch Admiral, The Crucible, Eleemosynary, Ah Kong’s Birthday Party, Dirty Laundry, and Macbeth are just a few of Karen’s award-winning theatrical productions. In more recent performances, Karen was seen playing Swee Neo in the SRT musical A Twist of Fate and Queen Lee in the Wild Rice production of Cinderel-LAH!

In addition to lecturing part-time in the Bachelor of Musical Theatre programme at Singapore’s Lasalle College of the Arts, Karen is a founding member of the Singapore Drama Educators Association.

Over the past 20 years, she has collaborated with numerous neighbourhood schools to produce creative musical productions in her capacity as a director, composer, and arts educator. Karen is at her very best when dealing with kids. She was a former music and piano instructor at Yamaha Music School and a highly sought-after director for numerous shows by Dramaplus artists KidsCo, TheatreWorks, and schools all throughout Singapore.

As part of the celebrations for FLY Entertainment’s 10th anniversary, Karen also directed the three-night interactive theatre dinner, Devil Eats Prata, which featured 35 FLY performers.
