Rebecca, who was born in Melbourne, Australia, to a Singaporean father and an Australian mother, began modelling when she was 16 years old. She has since worked all around Asia. Taiwan, Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul, Bangkok, Indonesia, and Malaysia were all visited before settling in Singapore. Additionally, she has the chance to be photographed in Milan, South Africa, Miami, and New York.
In 2003, Rebecca was named Singapore’s Model of the Year. She was named MediaCorp’s 2004 Babe of the Year and served as the host of the infotainment-based Channel 5 programmes Fashion Forward and Beauty Files, where she shared her extensive knowledge of fashion with the audience. Additionally, Rebecca Tan served as a special guest judge on the reality competition show SUPERMODELME.tv.
Her vast resume features more than 100 television ads and more than 100 magazine covers internationally. She has also been asked to appear in music videos by top Hong Kong megastars including Aaron Kwok, Leon Lai, and top Thai artist Dom.
Her most recent projects include serving as the Thai face of VISA advertisements and making an amazing TVC as part of a whole Canon camera commercial campaign. Additionally, she has added her appeal to the local milk brand HL by showing up in all forms of promotion. Rebecca participated in the Beijing Triumph fashion show in 2008 as Singapore’s representative.
Rebecca recently completed a degree in interior design, and she aspires to one day start her own business to improve the appearance of homes. Her dream is to star in action films and perform all of the stunts herself.
The popular online programme Hack It on Clicknetwork.tv, which teaches viewers the finest life hacks for any circumstance, is currently hosted by Rebecca, a veteran of the online community. Since then, 30 episodes of the show have received over 2 million unique views.
